Sklar 91-5452 Sklar Blue Electrosurgical Schroeder Tenaculum Forceps - 10", Round-Pointed Tips (Pozzi Style)
Sklar's® Schroeder-Braun tenaculum forceps are a ratcheted, finger ring instrument commonly used in OB/GYN procedures involving manipulation of the cervix or uterus, most commonly D&C, and vaginal or abdominal hysterectomy. They are also used to grasp, hold, and move vessels and arteries during surgical procedures. The tips of the Schroeder-Braun tenaculum forceps have two flattened prong tips that angle inward at 90 degrees. The prongs overlap, providing a strong hold on the tissue, but are also traumatic to tissue. Sklar Blue™ electrosurgical instruments have an insulated coating to prevent radio frequency currents from being transmitted through the instrument - thereby reducing burning of non-targeted tissues. Sklar Blue instruments are fully autoclavable and may also be cleaned ultrasonically.
