Outline
This model is designed to simulate the physiological and anatomical features of a newborn to train techniques of peripherally inserted central venous catheter.
Skills Gained
- Central Venous Catheter skills
- Needle insertion
Learners can practise needle insertion, catheter advancement, measurement of insertion length and placement confirmation in a direct, observable manner. The visible rib cage, heart silhouette, and landmark vascular anatomy (basilic, cephalic, jugular, subclavian veins) support accurate training of neonatal central line access.
