Why the Edan iM8 Vital Sign Monitor?
- ECG, SpO₂, NIBP, Respiration, Temperature, Optional CO₂ and Dual IBP, ICU-grade accuracy.
2. Sophisticated monitoring algorithms (arrhythmia/ST analysis, pacemaker detection, OxyCRG/neonate support) help you make fast, informed clinical decisions.
3. Modular design: select a base monitor or a pre-configured selection of monitors and printer (printer model iM8.P, CO₂ model iM8-G2, combos).
4. Reliable connectivity: Export USB, central station (MFM-CMS), and optional Wi-Fi/WLAN and HL7/EMR connections.
Comparison Snapshot – Edan iM8 vs Others
- Edan iM8 vs. Edan iM50/iM70: The iM8 falls between entry-level and premium. It has a larger display and greater modular customisation than the Edan iM50 patient Monitor, but it is better priced than the iM70 series.
- Edan iM8 vs Competitor brands (Philips / Mindray / GE) – iM8 Patient Monitor will most of the time be just as accurate for core monitoring lines and provide modular CO₂/IBP and printer add-ons for less, making it a great value choice for hospitals on a budget. (Recommend the specific spec comparison on the product page)
Note: Data saved on the USB is encrypted. Users cannot simply see the vitals on a computer without the proper software. CMS/CMS-Lite software is required for viewing live to capture that data as a PDF. Alternatively, an installed printer can be used to view results. Printers MUST be added to a monitor order at the time of purchase. Otherwise, a $195 labour fee plus the cost of the printer will be added. Please select the with printer option at checkout or contact MFI directly before purchasing to ensure your order includes a printer.
