The Flat Pads have 4-way stretch material on the contact surface that easily wipes clean. Under the cover is a wood base with 2 layers of foam (total foam thickness is 1-1/2"). The 1/2" bottom layer is a firm foam to support the shape and the top 1" is a softer poly foam for comfort.
